Yilong Wang started his formal piano studies at Shenyang Conservatory of Music in China and concurrently studied at the Liu Ning Piano School with Vladimir Petruccioru. Later, Yilong moved to Beijing and began his study with Professor Jin Zhang who was the keyboard chair of the Central Conservatory of Music. In 2019, Yilong moved to Houston, US, and started his degree with Professor Timothy Hester who is the chair of the keyboard division at the University of Houston’s Moores School of Music.
As a musician who enjoys performing, Yilong has enjoyed a vibrant performing life during these years, including several solo and chamber music recitals, and orchestra concerts in China, Europe and USA. Yilong's well-rounded repertoire includes works ranging from the Baroque period to the post-tonal era.
Yilong has also performed in masterclasses for several great pianists including Vadym Kholodenko, Susan Starr, Tamas Ungar, Victoria Mushkatkol, Marc Silverman, Alvin Chow, Ernest Barretta, Boaz Sharon. Yilong's inspiration is to share his love for classical music with his students and inspire them to have a lifelong musical journey
