Angkun Uabamrungjit, He began his musical journey at the Mahidol School of Music Pre-College in Thailand and quickly rose to perform with leading ensembles, including the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra, Siam Sinfonietta, Dr. Sax Chamber String Orchestra, and the Princess Galyani Vadhana Youth Orchestra. His early career included performances across New Zealand, the United States, and China.
Angkun earned his Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Tennessee and completed his Master’s at the University of Cincinnati in 2020. He later earned a second Master’s degree in Suzuki Pedagogy from the University of Louisville, where he completed Suzuki teacher training for Books 1 through 10. Passionate about both performance and music education, he is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) in Violin Performance at the University of Houston.
He has participated in renowned music festivals such as the Aspen Music Festival, Brevard Music Center, Red Rock Chamber Winter Music Festival, and InterHarmony in Germany. Angkun has studied with celebrated violinists including Giora Schmidt, Stefani Matsuo, Geoffrey Herd, and Cornelia Heard, and has performed in masterclasses for artists like Nikolaj Znaider and David Updegraff.
